Rock Out Like Its 2004

Have you ever heard gone a couple of years without hearing a song, then, when you finally hear it again, its as if you heard it again for the first time, and you remember how much you enjoyed it when it was first popular? I found these songs today on an old mix cd from a couple of years ago, and realized it had been far too long since I last played them.

1) Velvet Revolver - Fall To Pieces

2) Pilate - Into Your Hideout

More of less than the sum of its parts: Velvet Revolver or Audioslave? If I cared more, this could keep me up at night.

Agreed about Velvet Revolver, but Fall To Pieces was really good.

Speaking of less than the sum of its parts, I've always believed that the individual members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers all had a lot of talent, but they were never able to put the pieces together for more than a couple of excellent songs per album. They could have been hall of famers. They've had some lineup changes along the way, mainly due to the substance abuse of a few of the band's members, but even so, they should have made a few more hits than they actually did.
